This self-defense course for women was specifically created with the intent to give women the necessary basic skills for self-defense. The components of the course have been developed over many years and course presentations.
This course is unique in that:
– Discussion of the mental and emotional aspects of self-defense, particularly with consideration of the difficulties, social attitudes, and the reality for women in their daily life (and awareness).
– Instruction in useful, real-world techniques of physical self-defense, including avoiding threats, breaking free from an attacker, and escape from a threat situation. Students are presented each simple technique, and practice with other women in the class group.
– The opportunity to practice the skills and techniques shown with Alex, in a controlled and safe environment, as a stress simulation to practice what was learned and application of the information.
Your instructor: Alex B. Pinero
Alex is a former Special Forces soldier, with working experience in 10 different countries, from South America, to the Middle East, as well as Southeast Asia. He is also a security professional and consultant, having worked in Colombia, SA, Iraq, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Alex is an instructor of the the martial art Muay Thai, a highly effective and lethal martial art from Thailand. As a training and consulting professional, Alex teaches formal leadership courses, as well as security and operations for numerous businesses and organizations worldwide.
